Shamrock Structures efficiently accesses proprietary synchrotron beamtime at the Advanced Photon Source (APS) a mile from our labs. The APS is the only third generation X-ray synchrotron source in North America, with extremely powerful and tunable beamlines. Through our CrystalEXPRESS™ system, we help you integrate Protein Crystallography into your research enabling you to perform structure-based drug discovery. We can strictly collect your X-ray crystal diffraction data and return it to you or we can add more value by performing your protein structure determination from the data sets collected. Here is how CrystalEXPRESS™ works:

Our crystallographers will contact you to schedule our next available synchrotron date and to learn your preferences and priorities
You send us your protein crystals in a dry shipper via overnight courier
We collect X-ray diffraction data sets from your crystals at the APS
We return ship your dry shipper, send your data sets on DVD and/or secure online storage, and our crystallographers are available to discuss your results.
Synchrotron data collection can be performed either by an hourly charge-out rate or a by-the-dataset paradigm under a fee-for-services agreement structure.
